Races of Feltza

Feltza is home to a variety of races, all of which hold differences from others in their own ways. The races below are the races known by all of Feltza...there could always be races that have yet to be discovered.  If you have questions about these races, ask.

Amazons - On a small island, located far to the north of Highborne, there lives a large tribe of mostly women.  These women warriors, amazons, are stronger than the average man, comparing them to olympic gold medal achievers.  The amazons hold strong beliefs in women being stronger than men, coupled with their religion of Omina, the goddess of strength and courage.  Upon seeing them, one would simply think that they are taller, more vivacious women, all of whom, for some unknown reason, are extremely attractive.  Though they look down on men, they openly welcome women of any race, including Halves, dwarves, and even elfs, should they choose to come to them.

Angels - The holy warriors of the gods, angels are the only race in Feltza, apart from the Holy Knights, to use Holy energy as a means of combating demonic entities.  Their majestic wings can range in color, from any color of the rainbow to white, and even black.  Unlike popular belief, angels themselves do not actually hold religion above all else, rather they simply are soldiers carrying out their duty; facing and defeating their demonic enemies.

Demi-gods - Demi-gods are a very, very, rare group from Feltza.  Only numbering in a handful, demi-gods are born from the joining of gods and mortals, resulting in a child with super human abilities.  From super speed, flight, or super strength, to instantaneous healing from even mortal wounds. Demi-gods do not share any particular features, rather are identical to the others of their races.  It is nearly impossible to discern any difference between them, until they demonstrate their feats.

Demons - A dark race of beings, with superhuman strength, and speed.  They devour the souls and bodies of their victims.  Their powers differ, between demons, along with the elemental powers the use.  The demonic elements are fire, water, earth, lightning, wind, nature, ice, steel, dragonic, and vortex.  Their eye colors expose this demonic power, the eye color being of the same elemental trait's color.  Demons come in a variety of types, from small, manipulative, to giant, and overwhelming.  They never have a "common" form, and are all extremely very different.

Dragonkin - Dragonkin are one of the rarest races on Feltza.  Only about a handful are born every generation, most of them being born in the Crystal Wastes under the guidance of Olcian and Celina. They are born with incredible powers, which develop at a very young age.  A signature trait that all dragonkin share are three; The first is a glowing symbol, that shines when they choose for it to.  The mark can be anywhere on their body, and the symbol shines different colors, depending on the dragonkin.  The second is that all dragonkin have a title that they are born with, whether it involves where, or how, they're born, or the powers they wield.  Examples of such are Cyron of the Frozen North, and Tolbain the Magnificent.  The last trait is, when pushed to the point of near death, their bodies transform into a dragonic form.  The form varies, with every dragonkin, but this power can only be used when their body is literally seconds from death.  However, this power heals the user's body, but renders them unconscious for days after.

Dwarves - The most mechanically advanced race of Feltza, dwarves were long believed to have been wiped out by the war of the embyo, which also was rumored to have destroyed the elves as well, since both took up arms to destroy them.  However, the dwarves did not get wiped out, rather they discovered getting involved in the affairs of humans, and their prejudices, only made them realize that they could be next.  So they withdrew, deep into the mountain range that makes up the northern most area of Tolonar.  They have become so advanced, that they actually have created an underground subway system, that connects all the way to the Trade Capital in Ferrier.  This is one of the most impressive technological feats in all of Feltza.  Dwarves have since began to branch out, practicing their forging, and mechanical repairs, out in the world.  Though scarcely seen, they are now known to exist, and simply are reclusive.

Elementor - After the annihilation of the embyo people, only a few families managed to escape the carnage.  They scattered far, and wide keeping themselves hidden away.  After decades of this, they slowly adjusted to being secluded.  However, being far from the lands that gave them their incredibly augmented powers, the strength of their children was drastically weakened, compared to them.  Though it wasn't very obvious yet, it became noticeable over the next few generations.  As this change continued, it became discovered that this strength, though weaker than their embyo ancestors, no longer continued to weaken.  This led to the creation of a new race of Feltza; the Elementor.  This race is scattered across Feltza, and when they are born, strongly emanate a powerful elemental power; consisting of Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Lightning, or Ice.  They can only wield one element, which is the one they display upon their birth.  Along with this power, they also are born with a shining tattoo on their body, from birth, as well.  Like the embyo, they can also have very unique hair colors, however, they do not share the embyo's ability to learn and master their skills in short spans.  Also, rather than keeping eternal youth, they age more slowly, the oldest Elementors at nearly 700 years old.

Elves - Another race, believed to have been wiped out by the embyo war, the elves once resided deep inside the forest hell of Jacemn.  This forest is riddled with carnivorous plants, some as big as redwood trees.  Because of the many dangers inside, magi scarcely go near the forest hell.  However, deep inside this forest, could it be that the elven race is actually still around, and simply gone into seclusion, like the dwarves?  Or are they truly extinct, leaving only the ruins that they had once dwelled in.

Embyo - An ancient race of Feltza, that was believed to be extinct.  The embyo are the most powerful race to inhabit Feltza.  They possess the ability to adapt their bodies to become more, and more, proficient in any craft they choose to pursue.  This power is possibly connected to their constant strive to be the best.  They possess nearly immortal lifespans, some having lived for over 3000 years.  In turn, they are able to far surpass humans, and all other races, in abilities and powers.  Once an embyo's body "peaks" they remain at that age until they die, or choose to allow their body to age.  Once they reach this age, they are at their strongest, along with their ability to tap into their powers to their full potential.   There are many rumors surrounding this race, and why it was wiped to extinction, but only a select few know the true story.  A defining trait among Embyo is that they have paler skin, and very unique hair and eye colors, from black with a solid blue stripe, to completely pink, or blue, or any other colored, hair.

Gods - Supreme beings of Feltza, the gods come in all shapes and sizes.  How many there are remains unknown, along with where they reside, but these beings sometimes make their presence known, to those worthy, or those damned to have infuriated them.

God-Killers - A race of giant humanoid like creatures.  These beings suddenly began to appear over 20 years ago, but there is no definitive evidence of where they came from.  The God-Killers are very large, standing at a minimum of 7 feet high, their bodies having an immense muscular build, that dwarves even the most diligent bodybuilder's physique.  Traits they share among their race are their immense size, and tremendous weight.  God-Killers are very heavy, but this is, most likely, due to their incredibly durable bodies, which are able to withstand even large weapons fire with ease.  The durability, and density, of their bodies can vary between God-Killers, as does their natural strength.  Another trait they all share is their bodies being completely covered, underneath their clothings, from head to toe, in what appear to resemble bandages.  The colors of these "bandages" changes between god-killers, as well as their eye colors.

Gurkindo - The Gurkindo are a distant cousin to the Halves, the Halves being one of the very few races that they actually trade with.  They primarily inhabit the vicious marshlands of Milonsen.    Though they appear small, the Gurkindo are not to be underestimated.  They possess incredible jumping capabilities, able to leap straight upwards, while standing, over 20 feet up with the greatest of ease.  Gurkindo are short, round, and have very large mouths, fins on top of their heads, which vary between each Gurkindo, webbed appendages, two rows of serrated teeth, are covered in a mucus like substance, making them very slimy to touch, and short stub tails used for balance.  They stand at a maximum height of about 3 feet to 4 feet, and appear to be stubbly having, what look like, beer guts, but that is simply because their stomachs are larger, allowing them to consume food as large as half their size.  They possess immunity to the toxins and pressure of the marsh swamp ground, using it to travel stealthfully.

Halves - The Halves are a race of animal-trait sharing people.  They are often looked down on by humans, as being inferior due to having animal features.  Because of this, many higher ranked nobles actually pay people to abduct, and enslave them, using them for slave labor. The Halves try to fight this, and many of the world leaders are against this as well.  The problem is that the nobles don't care, and slavery still goes on.  Though most frown upon it, no one dares to speak up about it.  Zoas, the queen of the halves, and Luther, the halve king, have since started taking measures against these acts of slavery.  Each halve tribe has certain discerning features, depending on which tribe.  The tribes are rabbit, serpent, hawk, bear, bull, dog (wolf, fox, etc), cat (i.e tigers, lions, etc), and goat.

Humans - The average humans.  They are very flexible, able to delve into any kinds of arts, technological devices, or magical skills.  They are one of the most common races of Feltza.

Mermaids - A distant cousin of the Halves, the mermaids live deep in the raging waters of Highborne.  The intense currents and whirlpools of the waters have hardened the mermaids to be able to swim through them with extreme ease, and in normal waters they are able to cover incredible distances in the water in almost no time at all.  With stunning beauty, and shimmering fish tails, they are often compared to sirens, with eerily haunting singing in the middle of the night, at long sea voyages.  Their top halfs are identical to a beautiful woman, which makes them highly sought after by rare collectors, despite its obvious depravity.  They have a large sea floor capital, in hundreds of sea caves below Highborne.

Thoroh - Thoroh are a rather primitive looking race but having vast knowledge and being spiritually connected with their traditions. They reside mostly in Relios, a tropical rainforest like continent but solemnly seen. They practice various traditions such as offering invaluable gems and gold to appease their dieties, such as Molrian, goddess of life. To those not knowledgeable to the Thoroh's ways, they would find quite strange. Build wise, Thoroh are lanky, and tall, with incredible acrobatic talent and balance.  Their skin a darker tint, and wear tribal clothing, such as loinclothes and grass skirts. Brandishing simplistic weapons with deadly precision, such as hunting cerberus hounds, which is a Thoroh's rite of passage in many of the tribes.

Vampires - The vampire is actually not a vampire by folklore standards.  In Feltza, vampires are actually darkness energy imbued beings, that, coupled with tampering with dark magics, were able to grant theirselves immortality, and vampiric features, ie pale skin, increased strength and speed, vulnerability to sunlight, but their eyes are demonic and black.  The vampires do not drain their victims of their blood, rather their magical energy, via biting their neck, where the magic energy flows more. They have elongated fangs, and are able to turn into a hoard of black bats, which are actually darkness energy, acting as a kind of teleportation. They are also able to turn into black mist, as another means to escape danger, but the mist form acts as a healing state, helping them to recover from near fatal wounds.   Like other vampires, the vulnerability to sunlight comes from darkness energy being severely weakened in sunlight, which is why they avoid it.  However, this is not fatal, but does not dibilitate them, as normal vampires.  The same applies to going into holy ground, though they can go there, it severely weakens them, despite the time of day. They mainly inhabit the continent of Wuigard, also called the "lost continent", the name coming from the constant thick fog surrounding it.

Werewolves -  Like the vampires, werewolves are also a demonic energy wielding race.  This race, however, uses nature demonic energy, which is why they prefer the forests of Feltza.  They travel in packs, making their ways by hunting wildlife.  Despite their primal savagery, they are more than smart enough to trade with humans, and it is nearly impossible to tell them from normal humans, when they are not transformed.  Though they do retain their super sense of sight, smell, and slightly augmented strength.  Only humans, for some reason, are able to be infected with the werewolf bite, or lycanthropy, as duly named by the magic, and technological, researchers that examine this disease.  Though the full moon changes them automatically while it is out, they have learned to control their transformations at will.  However not all have, and have since lost their minds to their savagery, staying in their transformed state, constantly, and have long since lost their minds.  Only the truly strong-willed can survive the change with their minds in tact.  During their transformed state, they stand on their hind legs, with increased muscle mass, increasing their size, and obtain their wolven appearances, rather than simply large wolves.  They also acquire incredible speed, power, and a natural sense of danger around them.
I have finally started writing out everything about Feltza, and intend to share it with the world. If you have questions, like it says above, ask.
